Warranty for all Orient Rods products:

All Orient Rods products except the rods are covered by minimum Warranty required/determined by the Consumer Protection Law of the country of purchase.

Our Warranty for the rods manufactured by Orient Rods is as follows:

Our Warranty covers all our rods, regardless of where they have been purchased.

By purchasing any rod produced by Orient Rods at the full price indicated on the manufacturer's website, the Buyer receives a 10-year Warranty. The client also gets a 10-year Warranty if the rod has been purchased during the period of official discounts announced on any official resources of the company. In any other cases, if the rod is purchased with discounts, we provide a 3-year Warranty.

Depending on the pricing policy, any centralized dealer may set his own term of the guarantee obligations (Warranty), which must be at least 3 years.

If the rod has changed an owner, then the second owner can use the remaining part of the 3-year Warranty, if the warranty period has not yet expired.

Necessary conditions to get the Warranty:

  • the Buyer must register the rod within 30 days from the date of purchase;
  • the Buyer must keep the plastic warranty card and the original shipping case;  
  • the Buyer must keep the receipt or the invoice, the bank receipt or the screenshot of money transfer as an evidence of purchase.

Warranty terms and conditions:

  • the Buyer is fully responsible for all transportation costs associated with Warranty repairs or rod replacement;
  • the replacement or refund under the Warranty can be carried out within the period established by the legislation of the state of the purchase. The Buyer must discuss with the Manufacturer the insurance fee for the products to be delivered by any transport companies for repair or replacement under the Warranty;
  • the Buyer must send a complete set of the rod to the manufacturer or dealer with all broken parts. Besides the rod must be clean. The rod must be delivered in a rigid package that will keep it from damages during transportation. Orient Rods may refuse to fulfil the Warranty service, if upon receipt of the rod a responsible employee reveals the traces of damage on the packaging and submits a corresponding report in the transport company;
  • all claims related to breakage or any defect, technical or external non-conformity of the rod are accepted only by an authorized employee of Orient Rods, who also issues a corresponding Report on the claim and the results of the examination. The conclusion specified in this Report is decisive and the Buyer can appeal it within 30 days from the date of delivery of the Report. The Buyer can appeal against the decision of Orient Rods only on the basis of conclusions confirmed by the relevant Report issued by any other manufacturer of similar products;
  • only the broken part of the rod is subject to replacement under the Warranty;
  • the Warranty may be canceled or limited if the Buyer purchased a test or an exhibition sample or any other rod that had additional transportation from the Manufacturer's warehouse. The Manufacturer must notify the Buyer of any such limitation or Warranty withdrawal, otherwise the Buyer receives a full Warranty;
  • the guide rings and any other rod accessories are subject to a limited Warranty, which expires upon the successful delivery of the rod to the Buyer, this implies that the Buyer has accepted the product and the guide rings and any other rod accessories were free of defects.

Non-warranty cases:

  • breakages caused by damages of the blank or rings during transportation or improper storage, with a visible scratches on the paint and finishing coat (carbon fabric, weaving, etc.);
  • changing the structural elements of the rod (type of rings, ring placement schemes, the size of the reel holder, the position and type of the reel holder, etc.) without prior approval of the Manufacturer;
  • breakages of quiver tip during the use of the feeder rod;
  • breakages of the docking points of the pieces of the rod;
  • usage of the rod for non-fishing purpose. For example, at casting distance tournaments, where the rods are subjected to extreme loads;
  • breakages of the guide rings and other rod accessories, since the rings and other rod accessories are not the Orient Rod product and they are subject to influence of the human factor.

Responsibility of the Manufacturer:

  • In any case, our company is interested in an honest consideration of any case related to a breakage or any complaint of the Buyer. For non-warranty cases and in cases if the Warranty period has already expired, Orient Rods provides a "Warranty for modest price". The mission of such a service is to provide the necessary new part (piece) of the rod or to do the necessary repair works for the costs, which are calculated as follows: 1) in case of a two-piece rod, the upper part costs 35% of the price of the rod, respectively, the lower part costs 65% of the price of the rod; 2) in case of a feeder rod, the first piece (shank) costs 60%, the second one costs 25%, the third one costs 15% of the price of the rod
  • Calculation example: let's say the total cost of the rod is $ 350 (the estimated cost is taken from the total cost of the rod) we get: $ 350 x 35% = $ 122.5. This amount is divided by 2.2 (the costs coefficient to be covered by the company) = $ 56. This is the highest cost of the upper part that we offer that the client pay for repair works.
  • All repair works and replaced parts (pieces) of the rod are subject to a 1-year warranty.

Note: The Manufacturer reserves the right to make external changes to the design of any serial model of the rod, therefore the design of the rod may differ from the advertising photos on the website.
